Florida’s Next Star Specialist: Bobby Engstler
Bobby Engstler is a 2024 recruit who plays Punter at Lawton Chiles High School. Engstler is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Punters in the nation as well. In addition, Engstler is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Florida and is listed among one of the top Punters in the state of Florida. He has signed with Florida.
Who are some role models in your life?
My parents are my ultimate role models. They’re strong and courageous and push me to be as best as I can.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I usually don’t listen to music to hype me up, as I’m sort of the opposite. I listen to music to calm my brain and mental before the game so I’m mentally prepared. But if I’m trying to get hyped up I listen to Drake.
What are the strengths of your game?
My strength is being able to stay mentally in control of my body during a game. I’m also one of the best directional high school punters in the country.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career was when I won homecoming king. I had a great game, my team won 42-0 and I won homecoming king. Just an amazing night to know just how many people care about me and how i represent Chiles High School.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I have ever played against is Raylen Wilson, a freshman at Georgia. He was a 5 star recruit last year and gets a lot of reps as a true freshman.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice that I would give is to be humble and trust God’s plan.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to travel to Germany as I love cars that are manufactured there.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was about 8 or 9 years old when I fell in love with the game.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Sebastian Janikowski, as he is one of the best kickers of all time.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan, my favorite sports moment would have to be when Florida beat Florida State in 2021.
