Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

I live in a town that is about 45 minutes away from Oklahoma State, so growing up I always liked watching Brandon Weedon even when he went to the league. I also watched Tony Romo a lot since I loved the Dallas Cowboys.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I like to listen to a lot of Don Toliver, Baby Keem, or anything with a deep bass.

What is your offseason training like?

During the Summer offseason, I wake up around 6:00 for school workouts at 7:00 till around 11:00. Then I have more speed and agility training with my personal trainer from 12:00-1:00. After that, I normally have throwing with my QB trainer from 6:00-7:30. I also travel to Dallas and Los Angeles to workout with 3DQB. Great people and great coaches.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory from my career so far probably has to be when I got my invite to the Adidas Freshman All American Game, or getting my first offer from Oregon. Both gave me such an adrenaline rush, and I just felt really proud of what I accomplished.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

One of the best players I’ve ever played with probably has to be Kane Archer. Funny enough, he was actually one of my Wide Receivers in a 7v7 tournament. He’s an absolute athlete and one of my closest friends.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

Like I said earlier, it was such an adrenaline rush when I got my first offer. I was so proud of myself for what I accomplished. The first person I called right after I received the call from Coach Dillingham (OC from Oregon), was my grandma and grandpa. Because truly, it takes a village, and I don’t know what I’d do without people that support me.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is a nice medium-rare steak, lightly salted mashed potatoes on the side, and a sweet tea to drink.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

Growing up, I actually wanted to be a kicker. The seats we sat in at OSU games were right next to the kickers net, so that’s what I wanted to do. That’s until I threw the ball around a bit at one of my 3rd grade football practices. The next day they told me I was going to be the QB. I always thought that I was pretty good, but as a kid, everyone thinks that way. The first real event I got to compete at was the Future4 QB challenge in Miami in 2018. When I was there, I competed against kids across the country, and was named a top 2 finalist in the class of 2026. From there, I’ve just kept constantly grinding and getting better.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

The cool thing about being able to go and do all these camps is that I get to meet my idols. Not just football. In 2016, I got the chance to watch the Olympic trials for Swimming (which I did as a sport until I was 13). There, I met Micheal Phelps, my lifelong hero. The crazy thing is that I met him at 12:30 at night outside a hotel. In the middle of nowhere. Pretty cool though.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

I’ve been to a lot of Oklahoma State games since my family has season tickets in the front row. (my mother went to OSU and was on scholarship for Cheerleading, she cheered on the sidelines during games) But I remember one year during bedlam (OSU v. OU) where every Ok. State fan stormed the field after a big last second win. Where my other lifetime idol, Dan Bailey, kicked the game winning field goal. I can’t remember the exact date, but it was pretty cool.
