Mekhi Edwards is a 2024 recruit who plays Cornerback at Christ The King Regional High School. Edwards is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked among one of the top Cornerbacks in the class as well. In addition, Edwards is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of New York and is listed among one of the top Cornerbacks in the state of New York. He currently holds an offer from LIU.

Who are some role models in your life?

My role model is my mom because she always somehow managed to make sure the family was okay during some of the hardest times.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

My favorite artists to listen to pregame are NBA YoungBoy and Lil Durk.

What are the strengths of your game?

The strengths of my game are my playmaking abilities, my coverage abilities, my speed, and my ability to play on both sides of the ball.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my high school career was my first varsity start. I was a 14 year old freshman.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I’ve played with and against a lot of great players the past 3 years, but if I had to pick one it’s probably my teammate Tyriq Blanding who is committed to Penn State.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Some advice that I would give to all D1 athletes is to stay focused and cherish the game every moment you get.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could go anywhere in the world it would probably be Dubai.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was around 10 years old when I actually fell in love with the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet a vet of the game it would probably be Darrelle Revis.
