Christ School’s Star Freshman Quarterback: Mason Holtzclaw

Mason Holtzclaw is a 2027 recruit who plays Quarterback at Christ School. Holtzclaw is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Quarterbacks in the class as well. In addition, Holtzclaw is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of North Carolina and is listed among one of the top Quarterbacks in the state of North Carolina. He currently holds offers from Kentucky, Toledo and New Mexico State.

Who are some role models in your life?

I would say my biggest role model is my dad. He’s a hard worker and is always willing to sacrifice to make me a better player.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I like to listen to Drake or Christian music to stay locked in.

What are the strengths of your game?

The biggest strength of my game is my arm strength.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is probably beating our rival school.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player l’ve played with is Cayden Jones. He’s a great player on defense and going against him in practice makes me better.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

There’s always going to be moments when you feel like you want to quit. Just remember to keep pushing, because you’re always going to make it through.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would want to travel to Spain.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was about 7 years old when I fell in love with the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would love to meet Tim Tebow.
