Chaparral’s Star Junior Wideout: Kashton Park

Kashton Park is a 2027 recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Chaparral High School. Park is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Wide Receivers in the class as well. In addition, Park is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Arizona and is listed among one of the top Wide Receivers in the state of Arizona. He holds offers from schools such as Penn State, Syracuse and Western Kentucky.

Who are some role models in your life?
My mom is the main role model in my life. She’s always been there for me and pushed through everything. I get my mentality and leadership from her—she’s a huge reason I am who I am today.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I usually listen to Frank Ocean, SZA, and Jace! before a game. It helps me stay calm and focused, while still getting locked in.

What are the strengths of your game?
My biggest strengths are my speed and my ability to stay low. Football is a game of pad level and explosiveness, and I pride myself on winning that battle every snap.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
Scoring my first varsity touchdown on a stop-and-go route to take the lead in a close game—that moment meant everything to me.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Put your head down and work, no matter what anyone says. If you really want it, you’ll be willing to go out and get it—no excuses.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d love to go to the Maldives or Bali. Both look like places where you can truly relax and reset.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football when I was about five years old. From that moment, I knew this game was my future.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Steph Curry. He’s been my favorite athlete for as long as I can remember, and his work ethic and confidence are inspiring.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Odell Beckham Jr.’s one-handed catch.
