Alexander Beltran is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at Chaminade-Madonna Prep. Beltran is ranked as the 264th best recruit in the class of 2028 and is ranked as a top 30 Defensive End in the class as well. In addition, Beltran is listed as a top 50 recruit in the state of Florida and is listed as a top 10 Defensive End in the state of Florida. He currently holds offers from Ohio State, Auburn and Miami.
Who are some role models in your life?
My brother, who’s done so much for me and our family; my DL coach, Coach Greg, who’s always pushing me to be the best I can be; and my dad, who’s always making sure he’s teaching me the right things.
What artists do you listen to pregame to get hyped up?
During pregame, I like to switch it up — from Rod Wave to NBA YoungBoy — especially right before I leave the locker room.
What are the strengths of your game?
My first step off the line is very strong. I can beat any offensive lineman as long as I get my quick and long step in. My speed also helps me get to the tackle fast.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Getting my first solo sack in a game against Edison High and winning my first state championship as a freshman.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
Derrek Cooper is one of the best players I’ve played with — very humble, a great athlete, and an even better teammate. He deserves to be the number one running back in the country.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
The advice I’d give to someone aspiring to be a D1 athlete is: stay humble, give everything on every rep, and make a statement on every play.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Japan — I love the culture, the food, and I’m a huge anime fan.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 11 years old. That’s when I started, and I knew this was what I wanted to do and be.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Maxx Crosby — he’s the best defensive end in the NFL, and his game is spectacular, from rushing the passer to making his presence known every game.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Watching Jeremiah Smith — who played the year before I came to Chaminade — win a national championship with Ohio State. It showed me that someone from my hometown can make it to that level.
