Central East’s Star Receiver: Relando Jefferson
Relando Jefferson is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Central East High School. Jefferson is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Wide Receivers in the nation as well. In addition, Jefferson is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of California and is listed as a top 30 Wide Receiver in the state of California. He is committed to play at Fresno State.
Who are some role models in your life?
A big role model in my life is definitely my mother. The way she handles certain situations makes me a better person for sure.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
My pregame music is kind of all over the place. I listen to some Lull Dyl, which is more slow and calming, and then closer to game time I’ll listen to Lil Baby and Hurricane Wisdom.
What are the strengths of your game?
The strengths of my game are definitely my hand-eye coordination. I feel like I can track the ball very well.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career is the catch I had against Buchanan. I went up for the ball, tipped it off the defender, and caught it.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played against was probably the senior corner from Frontier. He was very patient and physical.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
My advice to a future D1 athlete would be to keep the main thing the main thing and always remember why you play the game, whether it’s football or any other sport.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 5 years old when I started playing tackle football, and I think I scored my first touchdown at the end of that season. That’s when I fell in love with the game.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet any sports hero, I would definitely want to meet LeBron James.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was when Tank knocked out Rolando Romero in 2022.
