Centerville’s Star Cornerback: Ziere Alston

Ziere Alston is a 3 Star recruit who plays Cornerback at Centerville High School. Alston is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Cornerbacks in the nation as well. In addition, Alston is listed as a top 60 recruit in the state of Ohio and is listed as a top 10 Cornerback in the state of Ohio. He is committed to play at Northern Illinois.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Some artists I listen to pregame would probably be Lil Baby and Babyface E.

What are the strengths of your game?
The strengths of my game would be that I’m a very explosive tackler, and I’m very good at tracking the ball in the air.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career would be when my team beat our rivals during the season and then again in the regional finals.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played against would probably be Jamier Brown from Wayne High School.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice I would give to an aspiring D1 athlete would be to not take anything for granted and to never let anybody tell you that you’re not capable of achieving your goals.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
The places I would like to travel are California or Florida.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was about 8 or 9 years old when I fell in love with football.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero, it would be Odell Beckham Jr.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was seeing Ohio State win the national championship.
