Jason Johnson is a 2027 recruit who plays Defensive Tackle at Atascocita High School. Johnson is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Defensive Tackles in the class as well. In addition, Johnson is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed among one of the top Defensive Tackles in the state of Texas. He holds offers from schools such as Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor.

Who are some role models in your life?
My role model is my dad. He went through a lot in his life, and hearing about his come-up is inspiring and motivating.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to Nino Paid—he gets me turnt every time.

What are the strengths of your game?
My athleticism is one of my biggest strengths. I weigh like a nose guard but move like a defensive end.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
Getting my first offer was by far my biggest memory.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with is Chris Minor. He’s in the class of 2025 and is a very underrated nose guard.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Work on your craft. Don’t worry about someone else’s success—just focus on yourself, keep working, and trust in God’s plan!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere, I’d go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football at 9 years old, after moving to Texas from Orlando, Florida.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was this last Super Bowl—I was on a cruise celebrating the Eagles.
