Argyle’s Star Offensive Tackle: Wes Tucker
Wes Tucker is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Argyle High School. Tucker is ranked among the top 700 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 60 Offensive Tackles in the nation as well. In addition, Tucker is listed among the top 150 recruits in the state of Texas and is listed as a top 10 Offensive Tackle in the state of Texas. Wesley Tucker is committed to play at Baylor next fall.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
The NFL players I’ve been most inspired by are JJ Watt, Taylor Lewan, and Tyron Smith.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Some of my favorite pregame songs are “can you feel my heart”, “FEEL NOTHING”, and “ Hells Bells”.
What is your offseason training like?
My offseason training is just all the offseason workouts our football coaches have us do, and my skills training with my trainer, plus a little extra time on the weights.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career so far was winning the 2020 state championship.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with is my older brother Jack Tucker and the best player I’ve played against is Landon Jackson.
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
My first offer was Baylor and my reaction was just that I was completely silent. I didn’t even know what to say. I was so happy and so surprised.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is sushi.
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I realized I was talented at football in 5th grade when I really started to grow and be a lot better than everyone else.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
The sports hero I’d want to meet most is Tim Duncan.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was watching the St. Louis Blues win the Stanley Cup in 2020.
