Jaylen Haywood is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Amite High School. Haywood is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Offensive Tackles in the class as well. In addition, Haywood is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Louisiana and is listed among one of the top Offensive Tackles in the state of Louisiana. He holds offers from schools such as Florida State, Baylor and Mississippi State.

Who are some role models in your life?
My two older brothers. I’ve always looked up to them and followed their lead, both on and off the field.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Rod Wave. His music gets me locked in and ready to go.

What are the strengths of your game?
I can dominate at any position on the offensive line. Wherever I’m needed, I step in and handle business.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
Getting my first offer from Florida State. That moment was a dream come true and just the beginning.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
Cole Sharky. He was a beast—always finishing blocks, getting pancakes, and making impact plays.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Stay humble. No matter how much success you have, always keep your head down and keep working.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Hawaii. The beauty, the peace, and the vibes are unmatched.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
Football runs in my family, so I’ve loved the game ever since I can remember—especially watching and playing with my brothers.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Trent Williams. He’s one of the most dominant offensive linemen in the game, and someone I really admire.
