Allen’s Star Freshman Athlete: Caleb Smith
Caleb Smith is a 2026 recruit who is an Athlete at Allen High School. Smith is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Athletes in the class as well. In addition, Smith is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed among one of the top Athletes in the state of Texas. He currently holds offers from, Texas Tech, Utah, and Incarnate Word.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
Growing up I played Running Back, so Saquon Barkley always inspired me. Since I’ve moved to Wide Receiver and Corner, the players that inspired me are Tyreek Hill, Stephon Diggs, and Jalen Ramsey.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to Lil Baby before a game.
What is your offseason training like?
Well Monday-Thursday I always workout in the morning with my high school. Then on the weekends I’ll go work on some Wide Receiver and Defensive Back drills.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory has to be my whole 8th grade year. During the football season I met so many new people including players and coaches. I also felt like that was my best year of playing football.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
When I played in the UA All American game I played against a lot of good players, like Julian Lewis, Jahkeem Stewart, Brayden Robinson, Brayden Gregory, and many more.
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
I remember I was in 7th grade and received the news after a track meet. I was extremely happy because I knew that my hard work had finally paid off. I was just in complete shock because I wasn’t expecting something like that to happen.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food has to be salad, especially a chicken Ceasar salad.
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I think I knew I was good when I started playing select football. I was still showing out in front of the best people in the Dallas area.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Tyreek hill, because we have a similar play style.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
I’ve been a huge Texas Longhorns fan since I was little. My favorite sports moment has to be when they played USC in the Rose Bowl. I might’ve not been alive at the time but I’ve rewatched the game a couple of times and it was a very exciting game.
