A Recruit Flying Under The Radar: Braden Appelhans

Braden Appelhans is a member of the class of 2022 and plays at Blue Springs High School. Appelhans is one of the top recruits of his class drawing much interest from many different schools all over the nation.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

I want really inspired by nba player, just like watching the game if basketball.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Biggest high school rival is Blue Springs South.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Definitely some hip-hop/rap.

What is your offseason training like?

Offseason training is the weight room and gym 4-5 days a week.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

Favorite memory of high school so far is winning a district championship this past year.

What parts of your high school game do you hope you can transition to the college level?

Shooting the ball at a high percentage and making the correct reads in transition.

What do you look for in choosing a college?

Where I can get better and have an impact on the team immediately.

When did you start looking at colleges, and when did colleges start looking at you?

 I started looking at colleges the summer before my freshman year, and colleges started looking at me February of this year.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Either LeBron or MJ.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Either when the Chiefs won the super bowl, the royals winning the World Series.
