
Oakleaf’s Star Sophomore: Mason Thomas
Mason Thomas is a 2027 recruit who plays Defensive Tackle at Oakleaf High School. Thomas is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Defensive Tackles in the class as well. In addition, Thomas is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Florida and is listed among one of the top Defensive Tackles in the state of Florida. He currently holds offers from Florida State, Liberty and FIU.
Who are some role models in your life?
Role models in my life are my parents.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Artists I listen to for pregame would be G40, Rod Wave, and Lil Poppa.
What are the strengths of your game?
One of my strengths is reading the pull and being able to tell if it’s a pass or run based on the O-linemen’s stances.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory in my career so far would probably be when I played in Little League. I played QB and scored 5 touchdowns in one game and threw 3.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
One of the best players I played with would probably be Jamie Ffrench in middle school.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
My advice to an aspiring D1 athlete would be to stay focused and not get caught up in the hype when your offers start rolling in.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would like to travel to Dubai or Cancun.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 4 years old when I first started playing, and I haven’t stopped since.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Ray Lewis, Jerry Rice, or even Tom Brady.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment would be when I visited UCF stadium, and it was so loud with all the fans chanting and being active.
