The Jenks Star Sophomore Safety: Kailib Dillard

Kailib Dillard is a 2027 recruit who plays Safety at Jenks High School. Dillard is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Safeties in the class as well. In addition, Dillard is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Oklahoma and is listed among one of the top Safeties in the state of Oklahoma. He currently holds offers from Miami, Kansas and Sam Houston State.

Who are some role models in your life?
Some big role models in my life are my mom and my big brother, who plays football at Kansas. They’ve both shown me what hard work and sacrifice look like.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Before a game, I listen to Bossman Dlow, YoungBoy, and SZA to lock in and get hyped.

What are the strengths of your game?
My strengths are my athleticism, my length, and my football IQ. I study the game and use my tools to outsmart and outwork the competition.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
Definitely winning the state championship with my old school. That moment will always stick with me.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played against is definitely Andy Bass from Heritage Hall.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Keep working—even in those moments where you feel like getting comfortable. Staying hungry and locked in will pay off big.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d love to travel to the Maldives. Just seems like a place where I could really relax and enjoy life.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I’ve loved football since I was young. I started playing two years up, going against older competition, and it helped shape who I am today.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I’d want to meet Tom Brady. He just knows how to win—and I want to learn from that mindset.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Watching the Patriots come back and win the Super Bowl against the Falcons. That was one of the craziest comebacks I’ve ever seen.
