The Future Deep Threat At New Mexico: Jacob Trussell

Jacob Trussell is a 3 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Georgetown High School. Trussell is ranked as a Top 100 Tight End in the nation and is a Top 270 recruit in the state of Texas. In addition, Trussell is New Mexico’s 6th highest ranked recruit in the class of 2021. Jacob Trussell is committed to play at New Mexico next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Honestly my favorite player to watch would have to be Odell Beckham Jr, he makes crazy plays and has amazing hands.

Cedar Park

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

A lot of Rod Wave music

What is your offseason training like?

A lot of speed and route training

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

 Being able to play on varsity with my brother for his senior year when i was a freshman.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

Definitely want to stay a threat in the pass game

What made New Mexico stand out from other schools?

Amazing coaching staff and they have always stayed in touch with me since day one of my recruitment.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at New Mexico?

I would like to get my 4 year degree and have a shot at playing in the NFL.
