Who are some role models in your life?
My one true role model is my mom. I didn’t have a father growing up, so I had to grow into my own man—with her help guiding me. Seeing the adversity she’s faced and the strength she’s shown motivates me to wake up every day and get better. My “why” for playing football is to get her out of the situation we’re in. No one in my family has gone to college, so I’m determined to be the first.

What are the strengths of your game?
My unmatched focus, athleticism, and twitchiness set me apart from the average offensive tackle. At Grayson, we’re drilled to move from point A to point B with urgency, and that standard is ingrained in me. My effort is relentless, and going up against elite upperclassmen since my freshman year has made me sharper. My pass set is smooth—just like my coach says—and facing edge rushers like Dre Fuller and Tyler Atkinson has pushed me to grow every day.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
It was my first varsity snap as a freshman, playing against the Brookwood Broncos. We had a solid lead, and I got thrown in for a drive that ended in a touchdown. I remember sprinting to the end zone to celebrate—my energy was through the roof. After the drive, I had to fix a lot under the tent, but I’ll never forget that first varsity moment.

Who is the best player you’ve ever played with or against?
No question—it’s Andre Fuller, our right-side defensive end. We’ve been battling since spring ball, and his intensity has made me better every single day. He brings that varsity-level violence, and going against him forces me to elevate my game.

What advice would you give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Give 1000 percent in every opportunity—whether it’s on the field or in the classroom. Push yourself in the weight room, stay locked in, and most importantly, handle your academics. That’s the key that opens the door.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 9. I was a basketball kid in 4th grade until Coach Cook approached me after a school pep rally and said, “I want you to play football for me.” That same day, I showed up to practice, and from that moment on, I fell in love with the grind and the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I’m not big on idolizing individual players, but if I could meet one, it would be Tyron Smith. I study his tape every day—his footwork, his technique. I guess that makes me a fan, because I’m always learning from how he plays.

What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
I don’t have one standout moment, but I watch a lot of classic college football. The Ohio State vs. Michigan game in 2006 stands out—final score was 42–39, and it had me on edge the whole time.
