Tristan Phillips is a 3 Star recruit who plays Linebacker at Ventura High School. In addition, Phillips is listed as a top 40 recruit in the state of California and is listed as the #3 Linebacker in the state of California. He is committed to play at Oregon.

My dad is a huge role model in my life.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I like to listen to Meek Mill, Baby Kia and King Von to get me juiced before games.

What are the strengths of your game?

The strengths of my game are definitely the speed and violence I possess while being so big and long. I can really break down offenses and can play middle, outside and edge. I’m also really good in the run game and zone coverage.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my high school career so far has been beating our rivals in a blowout win.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I would say the best player I’ve played against is my boy Brady from Newburry. He can sling it and break down coverages.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Be the hardest worker out there. Your mindset will take you very far.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere in the world I would go to Indonesia.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was 13 years old when I fell in love with the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one one famous sports hero I would want to meet Pat Tillman.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was watching Lebron and the Cavaliers make a 3-1 comeback in the Finals.
