Kannon Smith is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Valor Christian High School. Smith is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked as a top 50 Offensive Tackle in the class as well. In addition, Smith is listed as a top 10 recruit in the state of Colorado and is listed as the #2 Offensive Tackle in the state of Colorado. He holds offers from schools such as Ohio State, Michigan and Oklahoma.
Who are some role models in your life?
My biggest role models in my life are my parents. They have taught me how to work hard but also have fun.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
My favorite artist to listen to pregame is probably BigXthaPlug or Lil Baby.
What are the strengths of your game?
The strengths of my game are definitely my footwork/technique along with my IQ.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory from my career was when we were down 28-0 at halftime and made a 29 point comeback in the second half and walked it off with a 2 point play.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
A piece of advice I would give is to live in the weight room. You can always get bigger, faster, and stronger.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere in the world it would be to Bora Bora.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I didn’t always love football and almost quit multiple times, but the first time I fell in love with it was probably 7th grade.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a huge Chicago Cubs fan, my favorite moment was game 7 of the 2016 World Series when the Cubs came back 3-1 in the series to win.
