Central’s Star Defensive End: Tristan Lyles

Tristan Lyles is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at Central High School. Lyles is ranked as the 427th best recruit in the class of 2026 and is ranked as a top 35 Defensive End in the class as well. In addition, Lyles is listed as a top 20 recruit in the state of Alabama and is listed as the #4 Defensive End in the state of Alabama. He holds offers from schools such as Auburn, Colorado and Arkansas.

My parents are my biggest role models.

What are the strengths of your game?

My first step and my quickness off the ball. I feel like I’m a great pass rusher and run defender. I can also drop and play at linebacker.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

So far it’s winning the 7A championship my first year playing varsity.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with is Cam Coleman. The best player I’ve played against is Omar Mabson.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Do everything you can to get 1% better every day.

When Isaiah Bond caught the pass in the back of the end zone against Auburn.
