The #1 Offensive Tackle In The Class of 2027: Caden Moss

Caden Moss is a 5 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Jackson Academy. Moss is ranked as the 23rd best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as the #1 Offensive Tackle in the class as well. In addition, Moss is listed as the #1 recruit in the state of Mississippi. He holds offers from schools such as Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Who are some role models in your life?

My role models are my coaches who push me to be the best version of myself.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I’m an “old head” you can say. To lock in before a game l listen to some Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and Tevin Campbell.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my career was when my JV team won our last game of the season to become state champs.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I have ever went up against is my teammate Colby Archie. He is an outside linebacker who is a tremendous pass rusher. He is fast, violent with his movements, physical, and he is superb with his hands. He makes you earn everything. 

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

My advice to an aspiring D1 athlete is to be coachable. You can have all the talent in the world but if you are not able to take constructive criticism coaches will not trust you in the game.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere it would be to the Bahamas. The scenery is very preeminent.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was 7 years old when I started playing football. At my first practice I had my first tackle and the love for football overcame my body.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero it would be Cam Newton. When I was younger he was my favorite player. In my eyes, he was just like me. He was big and tall and able to move in ways that normal people can’t.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment was when Ole Miss invited me to watch them play against LSU. Being around the fans and their culture at Ole Miss makes you appreciate the environment you’re in.
