Tariq Boney is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at St. John’s College High School. Boney is ranked as the 565th best recruit in the class of 2026 and is ranked as a top 50 Defensive End in the class as well. In addition, Boney is listed as the #3 recruit in D.C. and is listed as the #2 Defensive End in D.C. He holds offers from schools such as Penn State, Texas A&M and Tennessee.

Who are some role models in your life?

Some role models are my stepdad and my grandfather. They are perfect examples of what a man should be in my eyes.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

My favorite pregame artist is J Cole.

What are the strengths of your game?

The strengths of my game are my speed and ability to shed blocks.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my career is winning the WCAC Championship.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with is Rohan Davy.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Just put your head down and work, everything happens for a reason.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere I would travel to Japan.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was 5 years old when I fell in love with the game of football.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would want to meet Von Miller.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment was when the Cavaliers came back to win the championship in 2016.
