Denton Guyer’s Star Sophomore Quarterback: Zephyr Kreye
Zephyr Kreye is a 2027 recruit who plays Quarterback at Denton Guyer High School. Kreye is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Quarterbacks in the class as well. In addition, Kreye is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed among among one of the top Quarterbacks in the state of Texas. He holds offers from schools such as Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech.
Who are some role models in your life?
My father and mother are my role models. My dad has sacrificed a lot for me and I’m just grateful he’s in my life. My mother is a hard worker and a great athlete.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I like listening to Gunna and 90’s rap music.
What are the strengths of your game?
I believe my strengths are my arm and vision.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
It’s between throwing the winning touchdown in overtime to beat the top ranked team in El Paso when I was in 5th grade and winning the FBU National Championship in 8th grade with Dallas Metro.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best wide receivers I’ve played with are definitely Trent Yancey and Boobie Feaster. Peyton Houston has been the best competition for me at any QB camps/ competitions.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
The best advice I can give to an aspiring D1 athlete is to stay focused on improving yourself and not worry about what everyone else is doing.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Italy or Australia. Italy for the food and the history and Australia for the experience.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Tom Brady.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
I’m a Chicago fan so it’s been tough since l’ve been alive but I gotta say it was being with my dad watching the Cubs win the World Series back in 2016.
