Colby Cronk is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at Flagler Palm Coast High School. Cronk is ranked as the 759th best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a top 60 Defensive End in the nation as well. In addition, Cronk is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Florida and is listed as a top 10 Defensive End in the state of Florida. He is committed to play at NC State.
Who are some role models in your life?
One of the role models in my life is my dad. He has a love for the sport and has a strong work ethic. He also put me in football and continues to make sure I strive to be the best.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
The artists I listen to pregame are Metallica and Iron Maiden among others.
What are the strengths of your game?
I think the strengths of my game are my relentless pursuit and active hands.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career would have to be the last second field goal victory my sophomore year that beat one of our district opponents putting us at the number one spot.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best players I’ve played with would probably have to be Ashton Bracewell and Rodney Hill.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice I would give to a younger player hoping to play at the D1 level is to always keep a high expectation of themselves and to keep working to become the best they can be.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would love to travel the Alaskan highway because I really enjoy the scenic areas and because l’ve never been.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet a sports hero l would love to meet Dan Marino. I was born a Dolphins fan and think he was a great player
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan is the Miami Miracle.
