Cameron McHaney is a 4 Star recruit who plays Defensive Tackle at IMG Academy. McHaney is ranked as the 211th best recruit in the class of 2026 and is ranked as a top 25 Defensive Tackle in the class as well. In addition, McHaney is listed as a top 40 recruit in the state of Florida and is listed as the #3 Defensive Tackle in the state of Florida. He holds offers from schools such as Indiana, Toledo and Western Michigan.

Who are some role models in your life?

One major role model in my life would be my mom. She is the hardest working woman I’ve ever met in my life and she sacrifices so much for me.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of high school football would be my freshman year in the state game, it was an unbearably excited feeling.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with would be my quarterback Jackson Willis.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Always try to push yourself to work harder because there is always someone out there trying to take the position you want.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere in the world it would probably be to Spain.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I started playing football when I was around seven or eight years old but I really started loving this sport when I was around ten years old.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero it would be Aaron Donald.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Watching athletes during the draft.
