Stoughton’s Star Tackle: Griffin Rousseau

Griffin Rousseau is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Stoughton High School. Rousseau is ranked as the 917th best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a top 70 Offensive Tackle in the nation as well. In addition, Rousseau is listed as a top 10 recruit in the state of Wisconsin and is listed as the #3 Offensive Tackle in the state of Wisconsin. He is committed to play at Illinois.

Who are some role models in your life?

Some of my role models are my older brother, my dad, and my mom. 

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I like to listen to a wide variety. Some of my favorites are Rio Da Young OG, Drake, and AC/DC.

What are the strengths of your game?

One of the biggest strengths of my game is my length.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my career is playing with my older brother my freshman year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I have ever played against is Ben Harman.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Don’t play the comparison game. It’s easy to compare yourself to those getting D1 offers in your class or the class below you, but you aren’t them, and you just have to play your game.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere in the word it would probably be to Germany or Iceland.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was around 7 years old when I fell in love with the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet my sports hero it would be Penei Sewell, as I am a Lions fan.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was watching the Lions win the North this year.
