Alonso’s Star Tight End: Ben Cole

Ben Cole is a 3 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Alonso High School. Cole is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked as a top 75 Tight End in the nation as well. In addition, Cole is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Florida and is listed as the #5 Tight End in the state of Florida. He is committed to play at USF.

Who are some role models in your life?

Definitely my dad, he’s my top role model in life.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

My go to song is Seven Nation Army.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

I’d say my favorite memory was catching this touchdown against Blake High School with 16 seconds left in the first half. It changed the momentum of the game completely.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with in my opinion is Owen Beach. He’s a great role model, always puts in the extra work outside of practice, and is a great human to be around.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Take advantage of every opportunity, because you only get so many.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I started playing tackle football in 8th grade and fell in love with it sophomore year. 

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero it would actually be Cristiano Ronaldo. Although he didn’t play American football he definitely inspired me.
