Buford’s Star Wideout: Jordan Allen

Jordan Allen is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Buford High School. Allen is ranked among the top 800 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 130 Wide Receivers in the nation as well. In addition, Allen is listed as a top 90 recruit in the state of Georgia and is listed as a top 10 Wide Receiver in the state of Georgia. He is committed to play at Louisville.

Who are some role models in your life?

My parents are definitely my role models.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to artists like YB, Hunxho and Skilla Baby pregame.

What are the strengths of your game?

My speed and shiftiness are definitely my biggest strengths as a slot. My route running is precise and my hands are reliable. My knowledge for the game also makes it easier for me to succeed.(Ability to read coverages and leverage of defenders).

What is your favorite memory of your career?

I would definitely have to say winning the state championship my freshman year. 

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve ever played with is probably Justice Haynes. The best player I’ve played against is definitely Caleb Downs.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Outwork the world. Strive to be the best you can be everyday. One day at a time. Gradually getting 1% better. Don’t let nobody discourage you. There’s always going to be people talking out in the world. You just have to keep working and prove them wrong.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I want to go to Paris. It just seems like a cool place to be in.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was 8 years old when I fell in love with the game. I started playing flag football when I was 5 years old.I played up until I was 8, then I started playing tackle football. I always liked football and enjoyed playing it, but after that first tackle football season.. it clicked in my head. I knew this was something I really was passionate about. Since then, I haven’t lost a bit of passion. I love the game and hope it will take me as far as I want.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

CeeDee Lamb. He’s my favorite receiver in the league. 

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Odell’s catch. I saw that whole game live. I was like 9 years old or so. I just went crazy when I saw it. I had never seen anything like it at the time.
