Maryville’s Star Freshman Lineman: Will DeLong
Will DeLong is a 2027 recruit who plays Interior Offensive Line at Maryville High School. DeLong is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Interior Offensive Linemen in the class as well. In addition, DeLong is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Tennessee and is listed among one of the top Interior Offensive Linemen in the state of Tennessee. He currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky.
Who are some role models in your life?
I would say the role models in my life are my dad and some of my older coaches.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to NF just before the game in the locker room.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my football career has been the brotherhood I’ve built with my teammates and the memories I’ve made with them.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
One of the best players I believe I have played with is Alex Boyd.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Keep your grades up.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could go anywhere in the world it would probably be to Venice, Italy.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I think I was about 10 or 11 years old when I fell in love with the game.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero it would probably be Brandon Burlsworth.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan would probably be going to a New Orleans Saints game roughly 2 years ago. I had a great time spending time with my dad and experiencing an NFL football game.
