Cortez Redding is a 2026 recruit who plays Safety at Jonesboro High School. Redding is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Safeties in the class as well. In addition, Redding is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Georgia and is listed among one of the top Safeties in the state of Georgia. He holds offers from schools such as LSU, Michigan and Tennessee.

Who are some role models in your life?

My uncle Ed Curney and my dad.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Lil Baby, Rylo and Meek Mill get me hyped before every game.

What are the strengths of your game?

My IQ, athleticism and physicality stand out the most.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

Playing AAU and winning states in 5th grade.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I’ve played with a lot of top guys, but mostly known are my basketball teammates Caleb Holt and Tyran Stokes.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Never settle, always remain humble and keep working.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I want to travel to Bora Bora.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I would have to say 6 years old.
