DeMatha Catholic’s Next Star Lineman: James Pace
James Pace is a 2027 recruit who plays Defensive End at DeMatha Catholic High School. Pace is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Defensive Ends in the class as well. In addition, Pace is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Maryland and is listed among one of the top Defensive Ends in the state of Maryland. He currently holds offers from Florida and Penn State.
Who are some role models in your life?
Some role models in my life are my dad and my grandmother.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to NBA YoungBoy and No Savage to get hyped up.
What are the strengths of your game?
As a defensive end, I’m very quick off the line and I’m good with my hands.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory was running back a game winning touchdown in the Ravens stadium when I was 7 or 8.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Always stay humble, there’s always room for improvement.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to Hawaii.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 5 years old when I fell in love with the game of football.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero, it would be Reggie White. He was one of the best defensive ends in football and I would ask him to show me some techniques.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was attending my first NFL game when I was 7.
