Xavier Owens is a 2026 recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Bishop Alemany High School. Owens is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Wide Receivers in the class as well. In addition, Owens is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of California and is listed among one of the top Wide Receivers in the state of California. He holds offers from schools such as Oklahoma, Tennessee and Michigan State.
Who are some role models in your life?
Some of the role models in my life are my mom and my coaches.
What are the strengths of your game?
My biggest strengths are my ball tracking skills and my ability to play anywhere on the field.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career was my mom hearing me talk to a college coach for the first time. Seeing how proud she was of me and seeing the joy in her face.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with is Allen Blaylock. He compliments the things I need to work on and I do the same for him. To be able to learn from someone that’s like my brother is an amazing thing.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice I would give is to keep working. If people want to hate on you, use that as motivation and prove them wrong. At the end of the day it’s only you on that field, so remain confident and don’t get in your own head.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go to Louisiana. I love Louisiana culture and would love to visit LSU since it’s been a dream school of mine since I was young.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I’ve always loved football since I was young. When I was 11 or 12 I realized I had potential.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero, it would be Michael Jordan. Even though he’s outside my sport, his competitiveness and nature to win is something I really admire.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan, was watching my little brother play his 9u season. His team went undefeated and won the championship.
