Mike Baker is a 2024 recruit who plays Kicker at Loyola Academy. Baker is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as the 9th best Kicker in the class as well. In addition, Baker is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Illinois and is listed as the #1 Kicker in the state of Illinois.

Who are some role models in your life?

My parents and my two older brothers are my role models. My oldest brother plays safety at Dayton, he is currently a senior there and has always motivated me. My dad was a kicker at Missouri and always helps me out.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to a variety of rap music pregame.

What are the strengths of your game?

One of my biggest strengths is my ability to not feel pressure.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory was winning the state championship last year, it was an unbelievable experience. I also loved my game winning touchdown freshman year, or my game winning field goal sophomore year.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Always work hard, even if you dont see progression right away, it will come.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Jacksonville, Florida to hang out with my family.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

When I was 6 years old watching my brothers play.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Herschel Walker, I really admire his work ethic.

Alabama vs Auburn, the Kick Six.
