Cameron Lytle is a 2025 recruit who plays Kicker at Spanish Fort High School. Lytle is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2025 and is ranked as the 18th best Kicker in the class as well. In addition, Lytle is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Alabama and is listed as the #2 Kicker in the state of Alabama.
Who are some role models in your life?
Some of the role models in my life are my parents. They are two of the hardest working people I’ve ever met.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
My pregame playlist is a mix of NBA YoungBoy, Lil Double 0, Rio Da Yung OG, and some Lil Baby.
What are the strengths of your game?
The strongest part of my game is definitely my kickoffs.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory has to be getting to play in Bryant-Denny Stadium for the state championship my 8th grade year. That’s all I talked about for 2 weeks straight after.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player l’ve played against has to be Koolaid McKinstry.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
The best advice I could give an aspiring D1 athlete is to keep putting the work in on the field and in the weight room, you basically want to make that your second home.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would most likely want to go to Australia to see my family.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football at around 8 or 9 years old.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero, it would be Derek Jeter. My parents said I met him when I was younger, but I’d love to be able to do it now, now that l’m old enough to remember it.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan, has to be when Evan McPherson sent the Bengals to the Super Bowl after making back to back game winning field goals in the divisional round and the conference championship.
