One Of The Top Sophomore Linemen In Utah: Stewart Taufa

Stewart Taufa is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Desert Hills High School. Taufa is ranked among the top 350 recruits in the class of 2025 and is ranked as a top 25 Offensive Tackle in the class as well. In addition, Taufa is listed as the #3 recruit in the state of Utah and is listed as the #2 Offensive Tackle in the state of Utah. He holds offers from schools such as Utah, Baylor, and Arizona.

Who are some role models in your life?

My parents are the biggest role models in my life. They’ve helped set great examples for my future and I’m grateful for all they do for me.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to artists like SOB X BE or System of a Down to help me get in the zone pregame.

What are the strengths of your game?

I think the biggest strength of my game would be my technique. I’ve worked with a lot of great coaches, and all have emphasized on technique.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory would have to be when I received my first scholarship offer from Southern Utah in 8th grade. I couldn’t believe it, it was a really amazing experience.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

One of the best players I’ve played with would be my quarterback Noah Fuailetolo. He completely tore his ACL in our first preseason game and came back 3 weeks later to take us all the way to being state champs, only losing once along the way.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

I would tell any athlete to put trust in their coaches and what they say. Most importantly, stay on the grind.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could go anywhere in the world, I’d like to go to Eastern Island to see the stone heads.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I fell in love with the game from the very start. Although I was a lot bigger than everybody, I still had a lot of fun.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

A sports hero I would love to meet would have to be Larry Allen. I watched his old highlights then and still now.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan would have to be when Tua threw the game winning touchdown in the National Championship.
