Guerin Catholic’s Star Kicker: Evan Guenthner
Evan Guenthner is a 2023 recruit who played Kicker at Guerin Catholic High School. Guenthner is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2023 and is ranked among one of the top Kickers in the class as well. In adition, Guenthner is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Indiana and is listed among one of the top Kickers in the state of Indiana. He currently holds offers from St. Francis (PA) and Missouri S&T.
Who are some role models in your life?
My biggest role model is my Grandfather. He has been there every step of the way for me throughout my sports career and gives me amazing life advice along with any athletic advice.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to Drake.
What are the strengths of your game?
My strengths are definitely my mentality and my placekicking abilities. I have a huge leg on field goals.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory is breaking a perfect season in the first round of the playoffs with a 36 yard game winner against the 2nd ranked team in the state.

Trevor Lauck and Luke Hansen
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Work hard and never give up. Recruiting is a mess, but if you call and call and call you will find a home. Don’t ever get down on yourself, as you never know what might come!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would most definitely travel to Japan, as the culture there is breathtaking!
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I actually was a soccer player and switched over to kicking sophomore year, so that is when I fell in love with football!
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
My sports heroes are Dwayne wade and Kevin Garnett. I love both of their attitudes and how they play 110% every game no matter the challenge.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was watching in person the 2015 Indy 500, where Juan Pablo Montoya crashed and ended up winning the race, fighting his way back as it was just an immaculate feat after an early crash!
