Keller Central’s Star Long Snapper: Jojo Scherer

Jojo Scherer is a 2024 recruit who plays Long Snapper at Keller Central High School. Scherer is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked among one of the top Long Snappers in the class as well. In addition, Scherer is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed among one of the top Long Snappers in the state of Texas.

Who are some role models in your life?

My biggest role model in life is my older brother Daniel, I always have and always will do everything he does and try and be better than him at it.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I’m actually pretty weird, I prefer no headphones and no music at all, just my own thoughts can get me hyped up for a game.

What are the strengths of your game?

My biggest strength as an athlete is my ability to learn quickly and adapt to situations. Whether that is on offense, defense, or special teams.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My current favorite memory of my career has to be playing in the Frisco Star. It was cool to see what pro football players experience every day.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

When I was in 8th grade I went to the Alabama camp and was playing catch with a couple of the Alabama guys before the first session and I remember seeing the name Waddle on one of the guys shirts and didn’t realize, but now it still blows my mind.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

My advice to an aspiring D1 athlete would be, never listen to someone who doesn’t understand you.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would want to play in the bowl game in Hawaii.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

As early as I can remember

Tom Brady

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

The kick six by Chris Davis in the Iron Bowl. Will forever be the greatest college football moment in history.
