Pace’s Star Freshman Lineman: Grant Wise

Grant Wise is a 2026 recruit who plays Center at Pace High School. Wise is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Centers in the class as well. In addition, Wise is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Florida and is listed among one of the top Centers in the state of Florida. He currently holds offers from USF and Charlotte.

Who are some role models in your life?

My dad is the main role model in my life. He always holds me to a higher standard.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

My favorite pregame music is Metallica.

What are the strengths of your game?

My strengths are aggression in run blocking and good footwork in pass pro.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is scoring on every single drive against our rivals last year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve ever played against is 4 star Florida commit Gavin Hill. I played him in the first round of playoffs my freshman year.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

My advice would be to never stop working!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would love to travel to Japan to see the culture and eat the food.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

When I was 9 we moved to Pace and I met some of my best friends while playing football, that’s when I officially fell in love with the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero it would be KC Jones. I watch his Miami highlights before every game.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

One of my favorite moments as a fan was watching the Kelce brothers compete in the Super Bowl.
