Tyler Knape is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Guard at Austin Westlake High School. Knape is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as a top 50 Offensive Guard in the class as well. In addition, Knape is listed among the top 120 recruits in the state of Texas and is listed as a top 15 Offensive Guard in the state of Texas. He holds offers from schools such as Arizona State, Cal, and Army.

My coaches and former older teammates who mentored me.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to AC/DC, Lil Baby, and Rod Wave pregame.

What are the strengths of your game?

My strengths are my pass sets and my flexibility.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is winning states my sophomore year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best players I’ve played with are Connor Robertson and Bray Lynch.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Advice I would give is to focus on the things you can control and not to stress about the small things.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would love to travel to Maine one day.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I fell in love with the game in 6th grade. That’s when I knew this is what I wanted to do.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I’ve always wanted to meet JJ Watt.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was watching the Clevand Cavs win the 2016 Finals.
