One Of The Top Sophomore Safeties In Connecticut: Jamal Davis Jr

Jamal Davis Jr is a 2025 recruit who plays Safety at St. Thomas More High School. Davis Jr is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2025 and is ranked among one of the top Safeties in the class as well. In addition, Davis Jr is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Connecticut and is listed among one of the top Safeties in the state of Connecticut. He currently holds an offer from UConn.

Who are some role models in your life?

I would definitely have to say my parents and Jalen Ramsey. I model my game after him.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to Gunna, Drake, and slow R&B to get me locked in.

What are the strengths of your game?

My biggest strength is that I’m a ball hawk, I’ll track the ball down and make a play on it! I can also lay a hit, since I’m a bigger safety.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I’ve played the IMG National team and St. Francis Academy, so any of those kids and even kids on my team like Zion Tracy, Chris Hudson, and Jamal Hood.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Just keep working and putting in the time that people don’t see behind the scenes. All the work will pay off eventually.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would travel to Bora Bora or Paris.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

When I was 9 years old in 4th grade, I fell in love with the game of football.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was watching the Rams vs Bengals Super Bowl. Especially being a Jalen Ramsey fan, it was a nail bitter the whole game. Just the excitement I felt hoping to one day be on that TV screen and help my team win such a big game.
