Jonah Winston is a 2026 recruit who is an Athlete at Hoover High School. Winston is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Athletes in the class as well. In addition, Winston is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Alabama and is listed among one of the top Athletes in the state of Alabama. He holds offers from schools such as Alabama, Texas A&M, and Florida State.
Who are some role models in your life?
The role models in my life would have to be my brother and my dad, watching them provide for their families is amazing!
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to a little bit of everything. Rod, Lil Baby, YoungBoy, and NLE Choppa.
What are the strengths of your game?
One of the strengths of my game is my ability to be a student of the game. I am always able to be teachable and not think I know everything. I’m always willing to learn something new.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career was finally getting to suit up under the lights as a freshman.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with is Bradley Shaw. The best player I’ve played against is either Peter Woods or Tony Mitchell.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice I would give is don’t get caught in all the hype, keep your head down and get 1% better everyday!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I haven’t really thought about that, but I guess it would have to be Jamaica.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was a late bloomer to the game of football. I really fell in love with the game at the age of 11.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
It would have to be Odell Beckham Jr. I grew up watching him snag one handed catches like it was nothing.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan would have to be watching my brother and Florida state comeback against Auburn in 2013.
