Kevin Fay is a 2024 recruit who plays Long Snapper at St. Frances Academy. Fay is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked the #7 Long Snapper in the class as well. In addition, Fay is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Maryland and is listed as the #1 Long Snapper in Maryland.
Who are some role models in your life?
Probably my mom, my grandpa, and all of my coaches and trainers that I have worked with for snapping, lifting, and speed work during the past couple of years.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Artists I listen to get hyped are probably some DMV artists and mainstream rappers, like NBA YoungBoy, Quando Rondo, Lil Baby, Glock Jones, Semi Homie, No Savage, and Baby Jamo.
What are the strengths of your game?
One of the biggest strengths of my game is probably my consistency. I pride myself on never missing and throwing a clean ball all the time.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career was when we played New Haven my junior year and I had all perfect laces and all my snaps were at the right hip.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played against is Da’Shawn Womack.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
There is always someone trying to out work you, so put your head down and work.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?.
I would probably go back to Costa Rica or a beach, I love beaches.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with the game rather late. I grew up playing baseball my whole life and I didn’t really follow football until the 7th grade.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero it would probably be LeBron James, due to the fact I would love to hear about his routine and how he goes about business.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was when Maryland upset Duke in basketball in 2013. I grew up going to Maryland basketball games with my grandpa and it was really cool seeing the atmosphere at that game.
