One Of New Jersey’s Top Freshman Linemen: Jake Namnun
Jake Namnun is a 2026 recruit who plays Offensive Guard at Delran High School. Namnun is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Offensive Guards in the class as well. In addition, Namnun is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is listed among one of the top Offensive Guards in the state of New Jersey. He currently holds an offer from Boston College.
Who are some role models in your life?
I definitely believe my parents are my role models because they both have worked so hard to help me and my brothers. My father as a child being an immigrant and both my parents being inner city kids and moving us to the suburbs is why I respect them so much.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Pregame, I use Meek Mill to get me going.
What are the strengths of your game?
I think my strengths have to include my intelligence on the field as well as my ability to climb to the next level on runs.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory so far is getting to share the field with my brother who was our senior qb this year for the first time in my life.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
Saying who the best I’ve played with is hard, but one of them has to be Tyler Akinson. I played with him in the FBU Freshman All American Game.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Just live in the classroom and weight room and it’ll come as long as you just put your head down and work.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would travel to Europe and watch some of the major European soccer rivalries.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I’ve been in love with football since I was around 5 or 6.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet any sports hero I think I’d have to meet someone like Larry Allen or LeBron James.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports memory as a fan is seeing my Eagles win the Super Bowl 5 years ago.
