Loyola’s Star Freshman Cornerback: Brandon Lockhart

Brandon Lockhart is a 2026 recruit who plays Cornerback at Loyola High School. Lockhart is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Cornerbacks in the class as well. In addition, Lockhart is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of California and is listed among one of the top Cornerbacks in the state of California. He holds offers from schools such as Oregon, Penn State, and USC.

Who are some role models in your life?

My brother and my dad. They are my biggest supporters.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

It overall depends on how I feel. If it’s a rivalry game, I’ll definitely listen to some Rio Da Yung.

What are the strengths of your game?

My physicality and ability to cover long fast receivers down field.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory would be my Defensive MVP game vs our rivals St.Francis.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played against is Kayden Dixon. He’s a freshman who goes to Mater Dei.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Maintain good grades and train like it’s the most important thing to you.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I’d want to travel to the Maldives. I love how clear the water is and the beaches are beautiful. 

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

As soon as I was able to start playing football, so about 5 years old

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

 I’ve always wanted to meet Stefon Diggs. I love the way he works and runs his routes. He’s really inspiring and has a love for the game.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Stefon Diggs’ game winning touchdown against the Saints.
