Sam Funches is a 2026 recruit who plays Center at Germantown High School. Funches is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Centers in the class as well. In addition, Funches is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Mississippi and is listed among one of the top Centers in the state of Mississippi. He holds offers from schools such as Alabama, Arkansas, and Auburn.

My ability to stretch the floor with my shooting.

Hitting the game winning 3 at the Made Hoops 8th Grade Finale

I’ve played against Tyran Stokes and AJ Dybantsa

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Just keep working. Work don’t stop, my parents always tell me, it’s a marathon not a sprint.

Hawaii

When I started playing AAU in 3rd grade
