Brennan’s Star Freshman Forward: Isaiah Ward

Isaiah Ward is a 2026 recruit who plays Small Forward at Brennan High School. Ward is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2026 and is ranked among one of the top Small Forwards in the class as well. In addition, Ward is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed among one of the top Small Forwards in the state of Texas. He currently holds offers from Sam Houston State, UTSA, and Incarnate Word.

Who are some role models in your life?

My role models in life would have to be my parents, they set a great example for me and my siblings. All I have to do is follow those examples.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Frank Ocean, J Cole, Big Scarr, and some Summer Walker

What are the strengths of your game?

I’m a big guard, so that allows me to defend well but also punish smaller guards. I’m able to get to my pull up or get all the way to the rim.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my career is when I got my first in game dunk, going into 7th grade.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve ever played with has to be my teammate Kingston Flemings. He’s a true point guard that can score at any level.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Some advice I’d give to someone younger than me would be don’t ever stop working on your game. If you’re the 100th best, work till your number 1. If you’re number 1, work till you can’t no more.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A place I would want to travel to would be Jamaica.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was 9 years old when I really fell in love with basketball.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I want to meet LeBron James. I would pick his brain and find out how he does what he does.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan is when LeBron had that chase down block in 2016.
