Miramonte’s Star Quarterback: Luke Duncan

Luke Duncan is a 3 Star recruit who plays Quarterback at Miramonte High School. Duncan is ranked among the top 900 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 50 Quarterbacks in the nation as well. In addition, Duncan is listed as a top 70 recruit in the state of California and is listed as a top 10 Quarterback in the state of California. Luke Duncan is committed to play at UCLA next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

I was inspired by all the 49ers QBs because I’m a 49ers fan.

What is your offseason training like?

My team and I train every day, and we also schedule 7on7 games against other high schools to work on our offense.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is coming back against Encinal to win the first round of NCS.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Being on KT prep I got to play with some incredible players. Cooper Flanagan was probably my favorite target.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

I was in shock when I got my first offer, my parents were in the meeting room with me and we kind of just looked at each other and couldn’t believe it.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is wings.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I was always a pretty good football player growing up whether I played receiver, safety, or QB. Once I got to high school I realized I was meant for QB.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Josh Allen, he’s my favorite player right now.
