The Newest Addition To Notre Dame: Jack Nickel

Jack Nickel was born in, Alpharetta, Georgia and plays Tight End at Milton High School. Jack is a 4 Star recruit in the class of 2022 and is ranked Top 20 at his position and Top 25 in the state of Georgia. Nickel has recently committed to Notre Dame.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Gronk because of his all around game

What high school is your biggest rival?

Roswell

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I just listen to whatever the team plays. Pretty easy going.

What is your offseason training like?

It is really intense speed work and heavy lifting.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career, so far?

Either winning the state title my freshman year or catching my first TD.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

I think my all around game is what sets me apart. Blocking and receiving.

What made Notre Dame stand out from other schools?

The academics and family atmosphere.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Notre Dame?

I want to be the best student and player I can be. Best person as well. I think Notre Dame is the best place to do all 3.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Lebron, I have been a Cavs fan since I was 4. My dad is from Cleveland.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

When Lebron won the championship for Cleveland in 2016.
