The #2 Offensive Tackle In Tennessee: Ayden Bussell

Ayden Bussell is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Mount Juliet High School. Bussell is ranked among the top 650 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 60 Offensive Tackles in the nation as well. In addition, Bussell is listed as a top 20 recruit in the state of Tennessee and is listed as the #2 Offensive Guard in the state of Tennessee. Ayden Bussell is committed to play at Tennessee next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

I was inspired by Taylor Lewan and he is still one of my favorite NFL players.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to a lot of rock and metal. Slipknot is my go to, any of their songs.

What is your offseason training like?

My offseason time is mainly consistent of a lot of working out, practicing form and technique on blocks, studying the game, and getting bigger.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of the game is just being with my teammates. After games we win on the bus ride home. The feeling of being in a locker room with your guys and just having a brotherhood is like no other.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played against was probably Caleb Herring, he’s going to be my teammate in a year and he’s a good friend of mine so it’s pretty cool.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

My reaction to my first offer was just pure excitement, nothing compares to it. It’s like being a kid on Christmas but x10.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food probably has to be just a good steak.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I’d say I realized I was a good football player my sophomore year when I started at left tackle over everyone, and the rest of the Line were all seniors.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

One sports hero I’d probably love to meet would be Taylor Lewan. I’d love to talk game and just work his mind about so many different things.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan would have to be just any UT game they win, there is no other feeling than being with 100,000 people when the Vols win.
