One Of Don Bosco’s Star Freshmen: Nolan James Jr

Nolan James Jr is a 2025 recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Don Bosco Prep. James Jr is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2025 and is ranked among one of the top Wide Receivers in the class as well. In addition, James Jr is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is listed among one of the top Wide Receivers in the state of New Jersey. His top offers are, Boston College, Kent State, and Akron.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

A lot of guys did like. Alvin Karmara, Curtis Samuel, Le’Veon Bell, LeSean McCoy, Arian Foster, Jamal Charles, and Ray Rice.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to a lot of YoungBoy and some drill music pregame.

What is your offseason training like?

 A lot of work at school with Coach Tank, our strength coach. I workout a lot with my trainer Danny Agyeman, getting right with my speed and footwork and becoming an all around player. I also ran track this spring.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

Scoring against Joe’s at Joe’s is up there because I played youth ball there most of my life and it was one of my first touchdowns, so that was a great feeling.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I’ve played with a lot of really good guys over the years but for youth guys, Dez jones, Ricky Anistasi, Brandon Toranzo, Cartier Canady, Bubba Lewis and in high school guys like Timmy Hinspeter, Claudy Robinson, Nick Minicucci, Jordan Thomas, Ronnie Heath, and Jayden Brown to name a few.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

When I got my first offer I was extremely excited, but it ultimately motivated me to work harder.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is undoubtedly pasta, my favorite would probably be penne vodka.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I’ve played football since I was about 3 years old and I think when I realized that I was talented was when I left my town team to play for Bergen Stars and I still dominated. I think that’s when I realized that I had a talent for the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

There’s a lot of guys I look up to and idolize, but to pick one person to meet I think I’d pick Odell because he is one of my favorite players and because of how much he has influenced the game in every aspect.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

There are two moments that stick out from a fans point of view, one would be when Ohio State beat Oregon in the National Championship, and when the Ravens won the Super Bowl in 2013.
